Noce są bardzo zimne, a w oknach nie ma nic prócz krat, mężczyźni musieli chodzić całą noc, aby nie zmarznąć, a jeśli w ogóle mogą spotkać się z przyjaznym uściskiem snu,

było to w ciągu dnia, kiedy słońce rzucało na nas swoje łaskawe promienie i w ten sposób dostarczało naszym ciałom wystarczającej ilości ciepła, aby nie zadrżały.
