Classic school method. I think everyone had it in ESL school (English as a Second Language school). You study English in a form of lessons. Every lesson has grammar exercises, a short English story and new words with a translation.
The pros of the method:
1.You know grammar.
2.You can make simple sentences.
The cons of the method:
1.You have to think what grammar rule to use whenever you make a sentence.
2.You translate words from your native language into English all the time. You don't memorize patterns.
3.Your English is primitive because you don't make an accent on conversational English.
4.You cannot memorize many new words because you don't repeat them often.
